I tend to buy medium-sized purses as I try to Mary-Poppins anything possible. I bought this with the idea of downsizing which worked...a little too well. Generally speaking, it did fit most of my stuff, but the width was what made it impossible to work with for me. Even purging more of my items didn't help - something as simple as my glasses case made the purse bulky and awkward for anything else. That is NOT to say I'd pass on this - if you are a minimalist or just need something for a quick outing, this is a decent purchase. If you're like me and feel the need to supply everyone around you with whatever they may have need for, opt for something slightly bigger.I wanted a light weight cross body bag in red to match my red sandals. It's perfect. I like it. I use it for my wallet, my cellphone and masksI was hesitant about ordering this purse because I thought it might be "cheap" looking since the cost was only $16.99. However, I was pleasantly surprised. It is a well made, quality purse with a nice silk-like fabric lining. It has the features, hardware and definitely the look of a much, much more expensive purse. I'm 5'8" and on the longest "setting" leaves the bag sitting just at my hip while wearing on my shoulder. There are 3 holes with 3/4" between each. So the length of the strap can be adjusted from longest to short by approximately 2 inches. Unlike other inexpensive, non leather bags, the strap, which were folded for shipping, quickly lost the indentations of the folds that it had after first opening it. It is a smaller styled bag and will hold a square wallet but not a rectangular or checkbook styled wallet as those are too long to fit no matter how you try to turn it to fit even with an empty bag and these wallets stick up a little too far for the zipper to close. Unless you must have a purse that holds a large, longer wallet and you like the photos shown for this bag, then I can highly recommend it for you. It looks even nicer and of much higher quality than shown in the photos. Update: I've been using this bag for 5 months and it has held up perfectly both inside and out and still looks brand new.**Another reviewer said she could fit a "Big wallet", "Two diapers" "Wipes" and even her "Phone" inside of this purse. My comment on that is that it is not even possible to fit a rectangular/checkbook style wallet inside AND zip it. Although doubtful, you MIGHT be able to snugly fit all of these items inside as long as you don't plan to zip the purse closed AND you have a smaller square wallet, newborn/premmie-sized diapers, two Individual wipes in a Ziploc (DEF not a whole package) and phone no larger than an old flip-phone. Just looking at the photos some reviewers posted of them holding the bag/purse, makes it obvious that all of these items will not fit inside this purse, especially if you plan to zip it closed. In all of my reviews, I have never disagreed with another reviewer...until now. It's a very misleading review as it implies that its roomy enough to substitute as a diaper bag + purse. This is certainly not true of the purse advertised on this page, and all I can conclude is that this review was written using a fake account OR the reviewer is commenting on a different bag entirely. While it is not a roomy bag, it has an adjustable strap making it the right length to use as a shoulder strapped bag or a crossbody bag.**Update** Aug 01, 2020I used this purse all spring & summer of 2017 - 2019and have just pulled it out to use for a 4th year (2020). After almost daily use for 12 total months over '17 ,18, & '19, the inside & outside of this bag looks as good as it did the day it arrived -- and I'm definitely not gentle with my bags. In fact, I opened the Amazon App with the intent to purchase another bag in a different color and decided to also update my review. This bag not only looks we'll made, it is well made, and I'm still stunned at its low price. The quality and styling is that of a bag I'd expect to easily cost well over $100, if not $150, at a pricier department store! I'm very pleased with this purchase.Love it. Thank u!This big is ok not as big as promised if you place stuff in side you can place anything on the sidesGreat purse for the price a little bigger than I expected but that's not a big dealI am a teacher and I have to carry my lunch and other things to school every day. I usually have a large tote bag that leaves me with a sore back. Now I have this crossbody and it is so light. Now I can have my crossbody and carry my lunch and be pain-free. Love this purse!I give this bag 3 stars and it has definite quality-control issues for hardware and the lining, detailed below. But I'm here anyway, buying a replacement for the one I ran into the ground, because I've yet to find a crossbody that fits my needs as perfectly as this one did.My two gripes with this bag:1. The outside zipper tab broke in half the first time I wore the purse out of the house. This happened at the airport as I was about to board an international flight, and this was the only purse I'd brought because of its functionality. So to have a broken zipper right at the start of my trip was eyeroll-inducing. But I could still pull what was left of the tab easily enough to have access to the pocket, so I didn't consider it a total dealbreaker. (Another reviewer from April 2018 posted a photo of the exact same zipper failure, so it's definitely a quality control issue.)2. The lining tore. And tore. And tore. I thought I was losing my mind - didn't I put my chapstick in this pocket? Where'd my pen go? I know I had some loose change here somewhere. Well, the first hole I discovered was the teeny pocket on the inside, so no more storing lippies in that. Then I found a hole in the interior main compartment, on the bottom, so that explains my pens and coins. And there was another hole whose origin I could never quite figure out, despite turning the lining inside out every way imaginable to get to the credit card that had become trapped. At that point, I decided it was time to let my daughters have my purse for their dress-up bin. Again, this seems to be a common complaint amongst reviewers, so it's another QC issue that should be considered. But I'm back here buying another one anyway. I did love this bag despite its faults. It held up very well on my 2-week trip (its intended purpose), being hauled from planes to trains and all stops in between. I was rough on the poor thing, but it soldiered through. Once I was back home, I never transferred anything back to my normal purse, and this became my daily bag for a solid 4-5 months before the lining became too much of an issue to continue using it. I never had the color transfer problems that other reviewers have mentioned, but I believe them; mine didn't bleed despite getting caught in rain and summer back sweat - clearly your mileage may vary.It holds way more than I expected it to. Although my standard wallet didn't fit, a slim coin purse with all my cards, cash and coins made an acceptable substitute. Add to that: sunglasses, powder compact, lip products (a couple glosses and a chapstick), pens, passport holder, a pack of cigarettes (I know, shut up) and lighters, scrap paper that I'm constantly accumulating, keyring (which ok, is only my house key and car keyfob), work badge with its keys, travel pack of tissues, and I kid you not, a can of soda if I took out the shades and squished it in there. Plus stuff my kids would stow away, so factor in the occasional matchbox car or pacifier or sock.So for the current price of about $16 (which is what I paid originally as well), it's worth the known risks for me to purchase again. I know better than to expect more than 6 months combined regular use, and for this price, as functional as it is before it falls apart, I'm okay with that.Love this purse! Arrived looking better than expected. It fits my phone/wallet and keys with room to spare :)
