Given as a giftI am looking for a small bag that's large enough to carry my water bottle and a few essentials when I go out for a walk, whether around town or out in the woods.This bag is the perfect size for me, and I love that I can change it to hang either on the right or left.The unit I received, however, has an issue with the phone slot (it seems to be partially glued or sewn shut); I will reorder and see if that's how they're made or if I got a fluke.(Also, no clue whatsoever how you would connect a phone or charger to the port; the manufacturer might consider adding those instructions here or with the product.)Overall it's not bad. Mine came missing the strap that joins the over-the-shoulder strap to the bag body. It would have been more of a hassle to return it than to just borrow a strap for another bag. It's fairly flimsy and cheap feeling but then again the cost was low so I pretty much expected that. What I didn't like was the cell phone pouch on the strap was up so high and there is no way to adjust that. If you carry some heavy stuff in the bag it will ride low on your back and the cell pouch then winds up on top of your shoulder where you can't easily get the phone out if it rings. The whole reason I chose this bag was for the cell phone pouch so I could have it across my chest and have easy access to it but that didn't go as planned. This bag would work fine if you were just carrying a few lightweight items in the main bag or didn't really need to reach your cell phone but that doesn't make it useful for travel. Not really happy with this purchase but for the price the reality is I did get what I paid for.While I initially WANTED something smaller for travel to replace a purse, I was a little worried that this was too small. It turned out being great and all that I needed! Plus a basic enough design (got the black) that it could be carried over one shoulder as a "purse" or in a sling manner when I needed to be "handsfree." Not sure about the front "headphones" slot...it was not cut to allow headphones to be threaded through. Side pockets were originally very tight, but did manage to eventually fit a 25 oz water bottle to carry. Overall, a great little travel companion.Use for short travelI thought this had a charging port where i can charge from the bag but there isnt u have to bring ur own portable charger
